Not just a plot of land......
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
All praise is due to Allah ﷻ who gave us the perfect deen of Islam and taught us how to strengthen and protect the ummah, through studying and applying the sunnah of His Nabi ﷺ.
When Nabi ﷺ and the early Muslims made hijrat to Madinah, they faced many difficulties. They had given up the majority of their wealth which was left behind in Makkah, and their homes were also taken by the kuffaar of Makkah once they had left. These early Muslims made a tremendous sacrifice for the sake of preserving their deen and Imaan by leaving the environment which was growing more hostile to Islam. Alhamdulillah, they found in Madinah a safe haven where they had the company of Rasulullah ﷺ and they could practice Islam freely and invite towards Islam and this was more valuable for them than the wealth they had left behind.
But Madinah had its challenges, and Nabi ﷻ showed us the importance of dealing with these challenges with both duaa and decisive action, for the sake of Islam and the Muslims.
One of these challenges was the condition of water scarcity in Madinah. The only good drinking water was from the well of Ruma which was owned by a Jew living in Madinah by the name of Rifa'a ibn Zaid.

(Remember that the jews had migrated to Madina to await the final Nabi ﷺ, however when he arrived from amongst the Quraish and not from the Jews, they rejected him ﷺ out of their racism, and altered their books to hide the truth, as it clearly described Nabi ﷺ)
This jew would sell the water at an exorbitant price, hence many muslims could not afford the cost of drinking the clean and sweet water of this well. Nabi ﷺ seeing this condition, and knowing the importance of access to clean drinking water for the Ummah, made a declaration that whoever would purchase the well for the benefit of the Muslims, would be guaranteed forgiveness by Allah ﷻ.

Uthmaan (RA), the son-in-law of Nabi ﷺ who was a wealthy merchant heard of this and proceeded immediately to Rifa’ and offered to buy the well.
The Jew refused to sell, however Uthmaan (RA) then negotiated to buy half the well instead for 12000 dirhams, which meant he would get the right to use it on alternate days, to which the jew thought this a good deal as he would get a good lump sum and still be able to get an ongoing income from the well on the alternate day.
He was of course not aware that Uthmaan (RA) would not charge a fee for the water on his day as the Jew was doing. Uthmaan (RA) gave the water of well on his day without charge which meant that now nobody would come on the other day to buy any water from the Jew
The jew exclaimed to Uthmaan (RA) that he had destroyed his business and should now buy the remaining half as well, which Uthmaan (RA) did for 8000 dirhams and then made the entire well as a waqf for the muslim ummah. (Other narrations mention different amounts up to 35 000 Dinars)
May Allah ﷻ reward the Khaleefa of the Muslimeen, Uthmaan (RA) for this great favour upon the ummah. Alhamdulillah the well of Rooma is still giving water to this day in Madinah.
At other occasions Nabi ﷺ also displayed the importance of securing the water supply as was the case in the battle of Badr and at other occasions. The Islamic approach was always to make water available, and not to horde it for profit, and to prevent it being in the hands of those who wish to do this.
Control of the world's water supply

In our time, multinational corporations, investment funds, and wealthy individuals have been acquiring water resources, including freshwater supplies and infrastructure, around the world. They want to control the world's water resources and make exorbitant profits from this most essential resource. This while the demand for water continues to rise due to population growth, industrialization, and climate change. Natural freshwater supplies are also increasingly becoming polluted while municipal water infrastructure is crumbling and many areas are already experiencing watershedding as a result.
This is undoubtedly part of the system of Dajjal, as much of the fitnah of dajjal is related to imposing poverty and difficulty on the Muslims who do not accept his world order and refuse to obey him and worship him.
The multinationals and elitists (who are of the same ilk as Rifa ibn Zaid) know the value of water and they have made statements openly that show why they are after it, for example:
“Water is the oil of the 21st century.” Andrew Liveris, CEO of DOW Chemical Company (quoted in The Economist magazine, August 21, 2008)
In 2008, Goldman Sachs called water “the petroleum for the next century” and those investors who know how to play the infrastructure boom will reap huge rewards, during its annual “Top Five Risks” conference
Citigroup’s top economist Willem Buitler said in 2011 that the water market will soon be hotter than the oil market: “Water as an asset class will, in my view, become eventually the single most important physical-commodity based asset class, dwarfing oil, copper, agricultural commodities and precious metals.”
Credit Suisse recognizes water to be the “paramount megatrend of our time” because of a water-supply crisis might cause “severe societal risk” in the next 10 years and that two-thirds of the world’s population are likely to live under water-stressed conditions by 2025
One of the world’s largest banks, JPMorgan Chase has aggressively pursued water and infrastructure worldwide. In October 2007, it beat out rivals Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs to buy U.K.’s water utility Southern Water with partners Swiss-based UBS and Australia’s Challenger Infrastructure Fund. This banking empire is controlled by the Rockefeller family; the family patriarch David Rockefeller is a member of the elite and secretive Bilderberg Group, Council on Foreign Relations, and Trilateral Commission.
The list goes on like this of greedy corporations who look upon water scarcity as a market opportunity to exploit for profit

Currently, in South Africa there is already a water crisis and it's getting worse. I have written before that these crises are in many ways 'engineered', because chaos is what the Dajjali system thrives on, as it seeks to position the Dajjali World Order as the solution, and Dajjal as the saviour of humanity.
For this reason Muslims should work together and act quickly to secure whatever water sources are still available as a priority. Prudent planning and action is part of tawakkul in Islam and should not be neglected.
This is one of the primary reasons that the location for Jibalus Salaam was chosen, although the reality is that it is only from Allah’s ﷻ planning that this area became available and I was led to go and investigate it for the purpose of establishing a safe haven for Muslims, Alhamdulillah
Alhamdulillah, the mountains and valleys of Jibalus Salaam have large reserves of clean and pure water as it is an origin point of water in the area. My son Ml Abdurrahman also had a dream which indicated towards the large water resources underneath the property and a community that will be taken there.
Alhamdulillah, the surrounding properties that we have concluded agreements to purchase over the next few years are also rich in water resources, from different sourcesto the main estate, meaning they receive rainwater from different collection points in the mountain range and have their own independent natural springs.
Nabi ﷺ has described exactly this type of area as where Muslims would flee to in the time of Dajjal to protect and preserve their deen. The words in the hadeeth of Bukhari are مواقع القطر meaning “the places (valleys and mountain areas) where rain falls”
The reason I am writing on this extremely important point, is so that all of you who have had the forward vision and the conviction in the words of Nabi ﷺ, to come into this project, and purchase a plot, or are considering doing so, can realise that you are not only purchasing a piece of land, but rather, like Hadhrat Uthmaan (RA), you are assisting in securing a water resource for yourself, your family and the Muslim ummah in future
The value and rewards of this action alone cannot be calculated, and one will only realise how valuable the water is when the ummah faces the scarcity which is coming, and in many places already here, may Allah ﷻ save us and make it easy for the ummah. Aameen.
In the ahadeeth it is recorded that the best sadaqah is to provide drinking water.
Sa'd Ibn Ubada (RA) narrates that he said to Nabi ﷺ, my mother has passed away, should I give sadaqa on her behalf. Nabi ﷺ replied: "Yes". So i then asked which sadaqa is best?. Nabi ﷺ replied: "To provide drinking water"
Being a part of this initiative to secure water sources for the Muslim ummah is a greatly rewarded act, when the intention is also made that one is doing this as a khidmat for the ummah for the pleasure of Allah ﷻ
Together with this I wanted to list what else you are buying into and securing by being part of the pioneers of the Jibalus Salaam estate, so that it can be realised that it is not just a piece of land with some services as is the case with profit motivated developments, but there is a greater objective behind you being in this project in which there is tremendous reward, provided you also make the intention that you are doing so to assist the deen
By joining the Jibalus Salaam Estate you have invested into:
1. Water security
As I have written above, this is perhaps the most important aspect of this particular location that Allah ﷻ has guided us to for the Jibalus Salaam estate. The mountains and the valleys of the estate are a water collection point where water collects and flows into waterfalls and streams that then feed the dams on the estate and thereafter feeds the surrounding rivers. In addition the estate also has a large aquifer that is drawn from with the boreholes and there are also free flowing springs from the mountains.
Alhamdulillah, because we believe that water should not be turned into a means of financial benefit, we have no intention to charge for the water for residential use which will always be without meter. Water to irrigate your own subsistence crops and for your animals is also included in this.
Because we are encouraging and implementing as part of our home and building design, the efficient use of water, including rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling etc we are confident that the home water usage will be a fraction of what it normally is in the waste prone setup that we are used to in the cities and suburbs.
A typical home in South Africa has a water usage of 237 litres per person per day. With rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling and other methods this usage can be reduced by 50%. The typical home of 5 people will then use around 600 litres of water daily. Currently our one borehole has a max flow rate of 20 000l per hour Alhamdulillah which means at 50% use, it can supply by the permission of Allah ﷻ 400 homes ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ.
There are a number of springs in addition Alhamdulillah, that are not included in this calculation, and also the dam reserves which are also clean as they are fed by an underground spring in addition to the good rainfall and streams that flow from the waterfalls and higher catchment areas.

But water security also means a water source that cannot be contaminated, blocked or stolen. Because the water comes from rainfall on this same area and does not flow in from elsewhere, it cannot be contaminated or blocked Alhamdulillah. The nature of the estate also makes it very difficult for someone to come in and steal or try to control the water resource.
South Africa is already facing an imminent water contamination and shortage crisis that can be read about in these articles:
Ultimately water is from Allah ﷻ and the main aspect is that the community should ensure to pay their zakat and stay away from those actions which anger Allah ﷻ while following the sunnah in securing water resources and not being wasteful of water even if it is abundant.
Unfortunately many of the problems we face is because we are living in communities where the disobedience of Allah ﷻ is rife. This causes the obedient ones to also be affected by the calamities which befall the area. This is a major reason why people will have to flee to the mountains in the time of Dajjal to get away from the enveloping environment of fitnah, to a place where Allah’s ﷻ barakah will descend due to it being pure, and clean from His disobedience ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ
2. Fertile land for growing food and feeding animals + the help needed to do so
As those of you who have been to the estate will attest, the land is very fertile Alhamdulillah, and while not suitable for commercial type monoculture farming due to its contours and slopes, it is very good for subsistence, permaculture and hydroponic type farming which is the better and healthier way of farming for subsistence and also for income generation.
Assistance and training
While many of you may already have green thumbs and know a lot about rearing animals we know that many are new at this, and therefore a bit apprehensive. We are here to help you and you do not need to learn to become a full time farmer to be self-sufficient at the estate.
We are committed to both teaching you, and also assisting you physically to the extent needed to achieve your goals. If you need regular workers to tend to your crops and animals we can also provide this for you and work out a reasonable compensation for the labour. We will schedule courses also for residents which we are busy preparing and the approach will be more hands on experiential learning on the estate itself ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ

Cooperative growing and animal rearing scheme
Another initiative in this regard is the allocation of community growing spaces for a cooperative food growing scheme. We have earmarked areas of the estate, particularly bordering the ravines where we want to plant a variety of foods and especially fruit trees as they are very fertile areas which will also benefit from the planting to prevent any soil erosion along those areas.
Residents are welcome to join in these community planting areas as a partnership based on seed or labour and share in the produce which will take the entire community towards self sufficiency on an estate level and will be prudent for the future of the estate ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ. In this way a large amount of produce can be grown off your own plot as well ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ. The specifics of this arrangement will be put out in time, currently we have listed the foods that we will be growing based on a short harvest time of a few weeks like coriander to a long harvest time of 10 years like truffles.
For animals, besides your own plot, we have common grazing areas where you can graze your animals. This will suit many who may not be present full time at the estate but who still want to rear sheep and other animals for their self sufficiency. A certain number is already allocated for all plots based on the self-sufficiency needs of a family but if a resident wants to keep more animals in our common grazing areas we can work out a fee for the grazing land and management, or work on a partnership basis.
Poultry will be kept in a specific area and will only work on a co-op basis as it is very difficult to segregate hens to determine the egg ownership. The meat and eggs therefore from this cooperative will be available for purchase at the farm shop and the proceeds will be distributed back to the shareholders of the cooperative.
Of course residents are also welcome to keep and rear animals on their own plot as well.
We are also actively exploring the keeping of other animals including:
Quail for meat and eggs, ducks for eggs, different varieties of chickens and camels. Yes, camels can manage the cold weather and are very hardy animals, Alhamdulillah.
Hydroponics/Aquaponics
In addition we have developed a hydroponic system of our own that we are currently testing. The aim is to offer a complete hydroponic setup enclosed in a dome with a capacity of between 800 to 2000 plants which can be placed on your own plot in proximity to your home. This way the power supply necessary for the pumps come from your solar system and also there is privacy for the family in being able to tend to the growing without going outside into a large field.
As you can see below the kids also take a great interest in growing and appreciate the greatness of Allah ﷻ through the system Allah ﷻ created in how the seeds germinate and grow into seedlings and then go onto produce food, Alhamdulillah.
They are preparing Coriander (Dhania) seeds for the hydroponic system. Normally we would put the starter medium in a germinating tray and then move them into the system once the seeds sprout but coriander doesnt like being transplanted. So we will put these "germinating cups" directly into the system which you can see below:
This is a 4 tower system that can hold 144 plants Alhamdulillah. Just 4 to 5 of these units are sufficient to grow enough produce for the family and can even give off extra produce that can be sold or bartered ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ.
600 to 800 plants are sufficient to gain self sufficiency for a family of 4. Together with this if aquaponics is done, which is combining fish production with the hydroponics, then a symbiotic relationship can be established which can be seen at this link:
The cost of the system including the dome, hydroponic towers, reservoirs and pumps are as follows:
16m2 pvc greenhouse dome with greenhouse covering and windows: R8000 (can hold up to 640 plants)
36m2 pvc greenhouse dome with greenhouse covering and windows: R15000 (can hold 1600 to 2400 hydroponically grown plants)
144 plant aeroponic system with pump and 144 net pots and starter medium: R8000
150W Backup Solar power kit for pumps with 60w solar panels: R4000
Aquaponics system add on: TBA
(Current residents are eligible for a 15% to 20% discount on our own manufactured items)
My suggestion is to start using these systems in your current home to get familiar with this method of growing food on the way to achieving off grid self sufficiency ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ
We can also install a custom system for you as well if you like ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ to suit your available space. Contact myself or Ml Abdurrahman to find out more.
3. Recreational areas and activities
As part of the ethos of the estate we want to encourage and make available outdoor activities and sports for our kids, and also opportunities for ourselves to enjoy the outdoor environment and the physical and mental health benefits that come with it. The forest near the waterfall which many of you have visited is where we will have a picnic and braai area as well as acrobranch and ziplines for the kids. There is a waterfall in this area fed by a spring which is relaxing to look at and hear as well. We are also planning to build a step walkway up the mountain in this area ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ

Closer to the residents plots there will be multiple natural playgrounds similar to the ones in the above pictures, as well as archery fields and other sports areas to benefit from. We are also looking at building an artificial snow slope that can be used throughout the year ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ as well as slides. Bicycle paths are also planned to cater for different levels from those learning to ride with training wheels to mountain bike enthusiasts ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ

The ladies activity areas are planned in such a way as to use the mountain ridges and other geographical features for privacy, with private routes to and from these locations as well. We are looking at a walkway option that is completely concealed through the use of creeper plants such as grapes, mulberries etc which we are very keen to get started ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ
All of the recreational activities will not incur a charge or fee. We do not want to punish kids or other residents for using these outdoor areas by imposing a fee, therefore it will be available without charge to all estate residents. Of course, the upkeep, and development of new facilities will have to be covered by the levies which will be administered by the residents committee.
4. Quality madrasah and taleemi structures
The core ethos of the estate is the focus on making amal on Quran and Sunnah and the aversion to any and all types of fitnah. Alhamdulillah, besides the founders, almost one quarter of the residents who have bought into the estate are ulamaa from strong backgrounds who are keen to share their knowledge and make the effort to establish the taleemi structures.
Many of the other residents have kids who are huffaadh and ulamaa or completing their Islamic studies and are also eager to contribute. We also have ladies who have memorised the Quran and specialised in aspects of Qiraat, and those who have been teaching kitaabs for many years who will be involved in the taleem for kids and other ladies ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ.
Our taleemi structure is therefore very grounded Alhamdulillah and the residents and their children will benefit from the peace and tranquility that comes with the spreading and focus on the Ilm of deen and practicing upon it in this fitnah free, peaceful environment ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ
There will be classes available for kids up to the elderly, some of which will be formal while many others done informally to cater to everyone's abilities and time ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ.
While it is not a requirement of living at the estate, we hope that in addition to being able to read Qur'aan with proper tajweed, knowing the masaail that apply to each person, and having a good understanding of deen, our residents will also at some stage all be able to converse in the language of Qur'aan ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽ
5. Training in essential life and community building skills
Together with Islamic education our children need to learn skills that are essential for building a community, just as Nabi ﷺ himself was involved in the different aspects of life in Madinah
We believe that fostering these skills is vital to create a harmonious, supportive, and self-sufficient community that reflects the values of Quran and Sunnah.
Our training program includes the following:
Practical Skills: Acquire hands-on knowledge in various practical areas, such as plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work. These skills will empower residents to maintain and repair their own home, as well as contribute to the upkeep of the estates' shared spaces.
Sustainable Living Skills: Learn practical techniques to live in harmony with the system of Allah ﷻ, such as rainwater harvesting, energy-efficient home design, organic gardening, hydroponics, animal husbandry, slaughtering and cutting, and permaculture.
By adopting these practices, you will contribute to the well-being of your family and the ummah and the self sufficiency and prosperity of our community ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ
Health and Wellness: Participate in classes and workshops focused on promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. These may include sessions on exercise, nutrition, and stress management, as well as Islamic teachings on maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Leadership and Community Involvement: Develop leadership skills by taking on various roles within the community, such as volunteering for event planning or serving on the various committees. Engage in community projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life at the estate and also get involved in dawah, taleem and khidmat projects in the surrounding areas.
6. Strict security measures to create a safe environment
One of the greatest fears that we have nowadays is that of violent crime and kidnappings. Crime is on the rise in South Africa and in many other parts of the world as well. Targeted kidnappings are also spiralling with more than 1000 kidnappings every month in South Africa in the past year.
This is of serious concern to us and is one of the reasons why we chose to move forward with this project in this way and develop a community, that is to provide a place where we can be safe, in a peaceful Islamic environment without the fear of crime and kidnappings.
Alhamdulillah we have already set up the estate in such a way that all residents are vetted before being allowed to join, and thereafter we maintain strict control over who can come into the estate for visiting etc.
Together with the self-sufficiency plan we will also keep a fully stocked supermarket so that those who are intent on living here permanently can do so knowing that they can get all their needs within the estate and there is no need to venture out. We are planning for the eventuality of having to stay within the estate for long periods for security purposes when things may become very chaotic worldwide with the possibility of civil unrest and global chaos. These efforts are being done for you as residents so that we all can achieve the goal of being safe and secure ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ
We also have put in place measures to defend the estate when the time comes to do so which residents will have a say in, and the ability to engage in ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ. Our security systems do not rely on any outsiders or non-Muslims guards or companies.
We cannot take disbelievers as protectors of our life and property. The sunnah that we are taught is that we ourselves must look after our own security, patrolling, night watch and response, just as the sahaba (RA) did.
7. Storage of long term food and supplies
Even before you are able to complete building your home we are making available a facility for storage of long term food and other items at the estate and we highly encourage you to start stocking up. When the facility is ready we will be able to store on your behalf:
Long term non perishable food items
Organic Seeds (see www.livingseeds.co.za and www.seedsforafrica.co.za)
Non food survival items
Barter items
Clothing
Shelter items
We have already begun sourcing these items for residents which will be available for purchase and delivery or storage after Ramadan ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ from this website www.afriprepper.com where a discount will be available for Jibalus Salaam residents. (Residents can use the passcode provided on the residents group as the coupon code )
8. Assistance with getting to the estate, and accommodation in times of chaos
It is a reality that the time may come when you have to leave your current structures and flee to the estate. The word “flee” is also used in the hadeeth which indicates this. For this reason we have taken the issue of extraction seriously and looked at ways we can get residents to the estate in times of upheaval and future social unrest. For this purpose we have a two pronged approach:
A halfway house setup
Guarded transport to the estate
The halfway house is a nearer facility that residents can reach ideally within 100km or less of our residents homes, or be extracted to in an emergency, where there is medical assistance, food, water and accommodation available for residents and their families until they can be further transported on to the estate, either by guarded convoy or by air.
Currently we have a facility that is almost ready in Gauteng and are working to establish other facilities in KZN, and then other provinces for the same purpose over the next 8 to 12 months ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ
9. Assistance with design and installation of cost effective off grid heating, cooling and power, hydroponic food growing systems, rainwater harvesting systems, greywater recycling and other necessary systems needed
Alhamdulillah we have been testing and researching many systems over the past year and have built up the capacity to build and install ALL of these systems on our own at a better cost for residents than using traditional companies. We have looked at the best methods suited to the area and have already tested, amongst others:
Solar system installations which we have sourced directly, testing different configurations
We have come to the conclusion that the most reliable and cost effective method is to use a 5kw Hybrid inverter, plus lithium batteries and solar panels together with:
A+++ efficient appliances (these appliances use very little energy on their eco modes even though they may take longer to complete)
dual fuel gas/wood for heating and cooking,
solar and gas/wood geysers,
radiant infrared heaters powered by solar for daytime
biogas as a backup source for geyser and cooking as well as electricity via a converted generator
In this way the required solar system needed is not large or overly expensive and can be done from R60k depending on the size of the home.
Residents can of course opt to build in more capacity by going with larger inverters, batteries and more panels if they wish to. We have opted to source our own units so that the installation costs are reduced, as 3rd party installers would charge much more because of the remote nature of the estate. But another reason we have done this is so that we can keep spares available at the estate for repairs and maintenance on the units instead of having to send them out for repairs back to the major cities which may take a long time to return and at some stage may be impossible to do. We also want to be independant in terms of these type of repairs and maintenance from relying on outside assistance.
For the full pricing details on solar systems please check: www.afriprepper.com and use the residents passcode for the discounted price. Please note that the systems will be put up as soon they are finalised ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ and according to the availability of panels, batteries and inverters which is currently a very fluctuating market. Check back again if you don't see them as yet or contact us directly to enquire.
Backup power
For backup power at the estate we prefer a biogas generator as the first backup to charge batteries in the case of not enough solar production, and then a diesel generator as a secondary backup. These systems can be installed easily in the short term

For further battery backup in the long term we are planning to build a reservoir battery system where excess solar energy production is used to pump water to a dam at a higher point and then released through a hydroelectric generation system when electricity is needed. There will come a point when the batteries will have to be replaced and we must be ready for the scenario where they cannot be obtained in future.
We have been monitoring the situation with Eskom's attitude towards solar/hybrid installations mixed with eskom power and are reluctant to have an eskom backup due to this, and also because there is no benefit connecting to an unreliable system. Recently the town of Frankfort has come in the news regarding this which can be seen here at this link: https://businesstech.co.za/news/energy/678217/this-town-in-south-africa-is-cutting-its-load-shedding-and-eskom-is-not-happy/
We have decided not to look at wind power at this time because of the noise that is inherent in the system as it will be close to the residents homes, although we are keeping our eye on some new emerging bladeless methods that do not generate noise.
(We want to also warn our residents to be careful of the domestic wind turbines that are being advertised in South Africa in the region of R30 000 per turbine, while they look good on paper claiming to produce 7KwH, we have investigated them thoroughly and they are actually of very poor quality and have almost non-existent after sales support)
Other systems that we have already gained experience with over the last year and are ready to implement for residents:
Greywater recycling and rainwater harvesting to reduce water wastage
Production of fertiliser from chicken and rabbit manure and aquaponics
Production of high quality free range chicken, duck and quail eggs
Milk production from goats and shared cows. (Residents will be able to keep dairy cows in a partnership that will graze on our common grounds. Dairy cows produce between 28 to 60 litres a day and therefore will be better shared by residents in order to make use of the milk. Dairy cows are also difficult ro restrict to one plot, therefore we will partner with residents for the purposes of milk production and allow them to graze in the common areas. Cow dung will also be used in the biogas generation for cooking and heating gas and electricity production
Hydroponic tower systems
Larger Community Biogas systems with integrated composting and fertiliser production.
10. Access to investment projects connected to the estate and surrounding areas and the use of traditional payment methods
It is essential that a strong 'micro-economy' develops within the estate and Alhamdulillah by engaging in agriculture and the different services and businesses linked to the estate we are making an effort ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ so that every resident will be able to earn a supplementary income over and above their subsistence needs that can be used for other needs, travel etc.
For this reason investment partnerships are offered to confirmed residents first, particularly in the game animals and livestock, farming, property and business opportunities in the estate and surrounding towns. When partnerships are done on saheeh Islamic principles and there is transparency in dealings then there is great barakah and ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ the residents will have the opportunity to share and contribute in this barakah.
In addition to this there is a great need to move back to the traditional forms of currency used in trade, particularly the use of dinars (gold coins) and dirhams (silver coins). More information on this will be sent in the residents only update that will follow ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ.
There is much more to joining the Jibalus Salaam community than the ten aspects mentioned above. Ultimately it is not an ordinary property purchase, but it is joining in a like minded community that will ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ support each other and work together to achieve safety from the spiritual and physical fitan, that is now bombarding us as waves one upon the other, and increasing globally. No country is safe from the fitan, one can only be safe in taking the advice of Nabi ﷺ and preparing now to flee from the fitan into the mountains.
May Allah ﷻ grant us all the hidaya and taufeeq to see the waves of fitnah that are approaching and prepare accordingly for the spiritual and physical safety of ourselves and our families ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ . Aameen
