The sequence of events.....

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

روى أحمد وأبو داود عن معاذ : أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال : " عمران بيت المقدس خراب يثرب ، وخراب يثرب خروج الملحمة ، وخروج الملحمة فتح القسطنطينية ، وفتح القسطنطينية خروج الدجال "

It is narrated in Musnad Ahmad and Sunan Abi Dawud on the authority of Ma'adh Ibn Jabal (RA) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: " The construction at Baitul Maqdis (is marked by) the desertion of Yathrib. And the desertion of yathrib (is marked by) the emergence of the great war, and the emergence of the great war (is marked by) the conquering of Constantinople, and the conquering of Constantinople (is marked by) the emergence of Dajjal"

Alhamdulillah, All praise is due to Allah ﷻ who is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the All-Knowing, All-Seeing, All-Hearing, the Wise, the Owner of the Day of Judgement.

Allah ﷻ, in His plan for mankind has determined and appointed the time when this world will come to an end.

At that time the entire world will be destroyed, the trumpet will be blown, every living thing will collapse, the mountains will break apart and fly in the air, the oceans will turn to fire, the earth will be folded up and turned into a new earth where the reckoning will take place, a completely level ground where all of mankind will begin rising up and running to the place of reckoning like locusts, upon the sounding of the second trumpet. Jannah and Jahannam will be brought close.

People will be in different conditions based on their belief and actions in the test of this dunya. Some will be completely drowning in their perspiration, others will come to the place of reckoning made to walk on their faces, others will come with their limbs handicapped.

This is while others will be seated on mounds of musk and lofty thrones underneath the Arsh of Allah ﷻ. Some will be given water to drink from the Haudh-e-Kauthar. Some will be dressed in robes of honor because they had made their children huffaadh of Quraan. May Allah ﷻ make us from amongst this group.

The kuffaar will realise that day the grave mistake they made, by not accepting the truth of Islam. They will begin biting their fingers out of regret, and continue until they have bitten their entire arm off to the elbow, not even being aware of the pain, due to the seriousness of that day. There will be no place of escape, noone to bribe. All will be brought to justice.

The court of Allah ﷻ will be setup, the previous nations will be brought and questioned as to why they did not accept the message of the Messenger sent to them. They will claim that a messenger was not sent. But this ummah will be called to bear witness to the truth in that court, that indeed a messenger was sent, but the people rejected and belied. When it will be asked how could we know, the reply will be that our Nabi ﷺ has informed us and this will be sufficient as proof. Those kuffaar will then be flung headlong into the fire to serve their punishment which will last forever.

The scales of deeds will be put up for the believers. Deeds will be weighed, the most sincere being the most weighty, the insincere holding no weight at all. People will come demanding their rights from others and deeds will be transferred to compensate. Then all will have to cross the bridge of Siraat that crosses over Jahannam to Jannah. Many will falter and fall in as they did not stock up on the provisions that would be useful for this journey. Others will cross with the speed of lightning. Nabi ﷺ will be making duaa for us to cross safely.

Before this heavy day comes and the last hour starts there will be the events of the aakhir-zamaan. The last time period on this earth, when there will be great upheaval, fitnah, natural calamities, war, confusion, famine and other great difficulties and tribulations that will encompass the world.

There are many ahadeeth which tell us the events that will occur such as the Mahdi, the appearance of Dajjal, the return of Isa (AS), the great wars, the famine that will occur etc and as we are now possibly facing these events occurring soon, it is important to get an idea of how these events may take place and what to look out for so we are not deceived, nor are we naive, but rather we take the necessary steps of precaution and planning both spiritual and physical.

The hadeeth above which I will repeat here below is one of the ahadeeth that the Ulamaa have pondered over in determining the sequence of events that will occur in the aakhir-zamaan:

It is narrated in Musnad Ahmad and Sunan Abi Dawud on the authority of Ma'adh Ibn Jabal (RA) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: " The construction at Baitul Maqdis (is marked by) the desertion of Yathrib. And the desertion of yathrib (is marked by) the emergence of the great war, and the emergence of the great war (is marked by) the conquering of Constantinople, and the conquering of Constantinople (is marked by) the emergence of Dajjal"

This hadeeth is often mistranslated with the word "then" between each occurrence, which has led many to believe that the order in which it occurs, is as the order they are mentioned in the ahadeeth.

This however is not automatically implied, is hard to reconcile and does not corroborate with other ahadeeth. Many were waiting for the emergence of Dajjal when Istanbul was conquered by the Ottoman empire, which the ulamaa generally agree did not happen and Dajjal did not appear at that time.

In my humble opinon, If this hadeeth is understood in the reverse order, with each major event being marked by the previous, then there is better corroboration with other ahadeeth regarding these events.

In this way of looking at the hadeeth, the 'عمران' of Baitul Maqdis which I have translated as the 'construction' at Baitul Maqdis, referring to the Zionists plan for their construction of their third temple, will occur at the time when Yathrib, which is Madinah, becomes deserted, which will happen before the construction of their third temple is completed.

Madeenah becoming deserted is confirmed by another hadeeth in Bukhari and Muslim as follows:

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: سمعتُ رسولَ اللهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم - يقولُ:(يتركون المدينة على خير ما كانت، لا يَغْشَاهَا إلا العَوَافِي يريد -عوافي السِّباع والطير-، وآخِر من يُحْشَرُ راعيان من مُزَيْنَةَ، يُرِيدَانِ المدينةَ يَنْعِقَانِ بغنمهما، فيَجِدَانِها وُحُوشًا، حتى إذا بلغا ثَنِيَّةَ الوَدَاعِ خَرَّا على وُجوههما).

[صحيح] - [متفق عليه]

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophetﷺ said: "People will desert Madīnah, in spite of its being in its best condition, and it will only be inhabited by wild beasts and birds. The last to die will be two shepherds from the Muzaynah tribe. They will enter Madīnah driving their sheep, but will find it full of wild beasts. When they reach Thaniyyat al-Wadā‘, they will fall on their faces.

This occurrence in Madeena will be at a time when the Muslims have all passed away, possibly from the wind which will flow from the direction of Yemen and cause all those with Imaan to die from the world. The place of the Muzaynah tribe is in current Egypt in the Southern Sinai near Sharm al Sheikh. It is possible that these will be the last two muslims to die upon travelling to Madeena والله اعلم. This desertion of Madeenah, even though it is in the best of conditions (which indicates Madeena will have been shortly before this well developed and populated) will mark the time when the Jews will begin building their third temple to go back again to worshipping idols, and this will be the last period before Qiyamah occurs, as Qiyamah will only occur upon the most wicked people.

It is likely that the Sun rising from the west will occur during this period marking the beginning of the last hours of the world, and then the kuffaar will all believe but it will be too late, as then tauba will not be accepted, (however it cannot be said with certainty when the sun will rise from the west as this is not clear from the hadeeth)

عن أبي هريرة أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «إن الله يبعث ريحاً من اليمن، ألين من الحرير، فلا تدع أحداً في قلبه مثقال ذرة من إيمان إلا قبضته» (رواه مسلم)

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Verily, Allah will send forth a wind from Yemen, softer than silk, thus it will not leave anyone with even the weight of an atom of Imaan in their heart except that he will be taken by it." (Reported by Muslim)

According to the Ulamaa the above will occur at a time when there will be no deen left, Quran will be lifted (as it comes in one hadeeth that it will be lifted from the pages), the scholars will have passed away and there will be none to take the name of Allah, as Qiyamah will not occur while there are those who take the name of Allah. After the remaining muslims pass away, evil will rapidly proliferate, people will fulfill their desires out in the open like animals, idols will again be worshipped and there will be no goodness left.

So what will mark the time before Madeena is deserted and the above occurs?

It will be the Malhama which will occur before it, the malhama is the great war wherein 99 out of 100 will die.

(Keep in mind that this hadeeth of Abu Dawud does not mention everything that will occur in these successive time periods, it only gives information about major events and waypoints that will occur, and in my humble understanding, what will be necessary before the particular event takes place. In this case there may be some time after the malhama before Madeena is deserted or it may occur very quickly after or even during the malhama, but the Malhama is necessary before madeenah is deserted.)

Therefore in keeping with this understanding of the hadeeth, the major milestone to occur before the Malhama will be the conquering of Constantinople, and Dajjal will appear before this event, not after.

In one hadeeth it is mentioned that these three events will happen in a space of seven months, Dajjal appearing, Istanbul being conquered and the Malhama, the hadeeth is quoted below:

عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ الْمَلْحَمَةُ الْكُبْرَى وَفَتْحُ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةِ وَخُرُوجُ الدَّجَّالِ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَشْهُرٍ

The great malhama and the conquering of Constantinople and the emergence of Dajjal are within seven months

If this understanding of the hadeeth of the events is correct then it is apparent that Dajjal and his army will attack Constantinople, modern day Istanbul in Turkey, and become victorious in conquering it after which the great, possibly nuclear war will breakout all in a short and quick period of seven months. (Note that currently Turkey is a target of the Dajjali forces)

This will occur during the time when Mahdi will already be leading the muslim army and have already achieved some successes for the Muslim world prior to this. Dajjal however would be undefeatable by Mahdi, and his army will conquer Istanbul, which may be during the 'Malhama'

Isa (AS) would then be sent after an unknown period of time, who will descend at the eastern minaret of the Damascus Masjid. Isa (AS) will kill Dajjal and there will be peace for a period in the world, every Christian will become Muslim, the cross would be destroyed, this symbol will no longer remain, pigs will be killed and there will be no jizya, possible because there will be no non-muslims in the muslim lands.

Yajooj and Majooj will then be released and cause havoc on the earth. During this time Isa (as) will take the remaining muslims upto Mount Tur and Allah ﷻ will send a worm to destroy them and they will die at once altogether. Thereafter Allāh will send such rain that no mud house or hut will be sheltered from it. It will cleanse the earth until it leaves it like a mirror. The earth will then be told, “Bring forth your fruits and restore your blessings.”

On that day a group of people will eat a portion of a pomegranate and [then] sit in its skins shadow. Milk will be blessed to the extent that [the milk of a] milch camel will suffice a [large] crowd of people, [the milk of a] milch cow will suffice a tribe of people, [the milk of a] milch sheep will suffice a family of people. (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: 7373)

It will be like this until the next major event occurs which is the desertion of Madeena. It is possible that the beast to arise from mount safa will occur during this time before the wind blows from the direction of Yemen. We do know that after Isa (AS) passes away there will be a rapid deterioration of deen. Isa (as) will live for seven years to the age of 40 as he was raised at the age of 33. He will be buried in Madeena next to Nabi ﷺ.

Then there is the period before Mahdi arrives:

A hadeeth in Sunan Abi Dawud also mentions that:

سَتُصَالِحُونَ الرُّومَ صُلْحًا آمِنًا فَتَغْزُونَ أَنْتُمْ وَهُمْ عَدُوًّا مِنْ وَرَائِكُمْ فَتُنْصَرُونَ وَتَغْنَمُونَ وَتَسْلَمُونَ ثُمَّ تَرْجِعُونَ حَتَّى تَنْزِلُوا بِمَرْجٍ ذِي تُلُولٍ فَيَرْفَعُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةِ الصَّلِيبَ فَيَقُولُ غَلَبَ الصَّلِيبُ فَيَغْضَبُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَيَدُقُّهُ فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ تَغْدِرُ الرُّومُ وَتَجْمَعُ لِلْمَلْحَمَةِ

وَيَثُورُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ إِلَى أَسْلِحَتِهِمْ فَيَقْتَتِلُونَ فَيُكْرِمُ اللَّهُ تِلْكَ الْعِصَابَةَ بِالشَّهَادَةِ

You will make a peace treaty with the Romans, then you and they will fight an enemy beyond you (across your borders), and you will be victorious, take booty, and be safe. You will then return and alight in a meadow with mounds and one of the Christians will raise the cross and say: The cross has conquered. One of the Muslims will become angry and smash it, and the Romans will act treacherously and gather (against you) for the Malhama.

then it is added:

The Muslims will then make for their weapons and will fight, and Allah will honor that legion with martryrdom

It is possible that this may refer to the current Russia-Ukraine war, as Russia is regarded to be the "Third Rome" (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscow,_third_Rome) and the Chechen Muslims have made a peace treaty with Russia, and are fighting with Russia against Ukraine in the war. Allah ﷻ knows best.

Other ahadeeth also indicate towards the events that will occur leading up to Dajjals appearance, and they also describe Mahdi and Isa (AS). It is important to know these so that we are not fooled by the false Mahdis which are currently in great number. Remember that Dajjal will also at one stage claim to be Isa (AS) before he claims to be Allah ﷻ.

Know that the Jews are awaiting their messiah to lead them to victory and world domination, and to enable them to build their 'temple' and go back to idol worship, and they have already claimed the arrival of the one who will usher in their messiah who the Jewish rabbis from all over the world are visiting and excited about.

Christians are awaiting the return of Isa (AS) who they think will prove them right and are also saying the time is close.

We are first awaiting the Mahdi who will lead the Muslims in battle and rule with justice, and thereafter Isa (AS) who will destroy the Dajjal.

Those assisting with Shaytaans agenda know this well. They are well versed with the ayaat and the ahadeeth and are using this information to plot and plan to destroy the Imaan of every believer by trying to fool them to believe that these events have occurred.

To know what they are planning, it is essential to know about the Mahdi who will arrive before Dajjal and Isa (AS). Many false 'Mahdis' will appear before the real Mahdi and this will be part of the plan of Shaytaan to lead people astray, many have already appeared in the past and there are now a large number who claim to be the Mahdi.

The real Mahdi according to the ahadeeth:

- will be from the progeny of Nabi ﷺ, among the descendants of Fatima (RA), from the lineage of Husain (RA)

- will have a broad forehead and a pointed (prominent) nose.

- will not claim to be the Mahdi, rather he will be reluctant to accept leadership

- he will be made fit for the position overnight (not be preparing and claiming it for any time before)

- will appear after a severe earthquake will occur (there is weakness in this narration, however it is not to the level as being regarded a fabrication)

- after the death of a ruler (who may be an arab ruler) there will be some dispute between the people. At that time a citizen of Madinah will flee (from Madinah) and go to Makkah. While in Makkah, certain people will approach him between Hajr-ul-Aswad and Maqaam-e-Ibraheem, and forcefully pledge their allegiance to him.

- Thereafter a huge army will hear of this and proceed from Syria to attack him but when they will be at Baida, which is between Makkah and Madinah, they will be swallowed into the ground

- On seeing this, the Abdaals of Shaam as well as large numbers of people from Iraaq, now knowing that this is the real Mahdi (since this swallowing of the army cannot be faked) will come to him and pledge their allegiance to him

- He will fill the earth with justice as it is filled with injustice and tyranny. He will rule for seven years

It is probable that the time of Mahid arriving is very near based on the current world events and therefore also the time Dajjal and Isa (AS)

Currently the satanic helpers are planning a major deception to make it appear as if Isa (AS) has arrived while in fact it is the Dajjal.

Since they know that Isa (AS) will descend from the skies in both the Islamic and Christian sources, they are using this to plan a holographic projection of the appearance and descent of Isa (AS) throughout the world where they will then present Dajjal as Isa (AS). This was discovered as a project that started in the 90s called Project Blue Beam. The projects aim was stated (at that time) to be a project by the UN and NASA to create a New Religion by faking the return of Isa (AS) through use of holographic technologies. The plan was for this to occur shortly after a global pandemic to usher in the New World Order.

This may sound like a wild conspiracy theory but it is very often that what was once regarded as conspiracy, is later proven to be fact. The ahadeeth also indicate that Dajjal will first claim to be Isa (AS) and then later make the claim of being Allah himself, may Allah ﷻ protect us. Aameen

Many observers worldwide state that they have already begun with this plan by starting to 'admit' that there are UFOs and then acting as if UFOs are descending in different places in the world and are being shot down. In the past weeks people all over have been reporting UFO type craft in the skies and battles ensuing, which when you look at it appear to be holographic images in reality with a 'blue' type of light. 

As Muslims we should therefore also be well versed in what the ahadeeth inform us about Isa (AS) which include the following:

- Isa (AS) will appear after the arrival of Dajjal

- Mahdi will have arranged the Muslim army and will be on the verge of leading the Muslims in Fajr Salaah in Damascus

- Isa (AS) will descend upon the white Minaret in the east of Damascus, wearing two garments dyed with saffron, placing his hands on the wings of two angels

- the colour of his skin will be reddish white, he will be well built and his hair will be soft and reach to his ears. When he lowers his head, beads of perspiration will fall from it and when he raises his head, beads like pearls will scatter from it

- Mahdi will take a couple of steps backwards so that Isa (AS) can lead the salaah, however Isa (AS) will place his hands on the Imaam’s shoulder and will say, ”Go forward and lead the prayer as the Iqamah was made for you” thus Mahdi will lead the salaah

It is also important to know what the ahadeeth say about Dajjal so that we prepare for his fitnah:

- Greatly confusing fitnah will afflict the ummah even before Dajjals arrival, such that during them a man will awake a believer but become a disbeliever by the evening. People will eventually end up in one of two camps: the camp of Imaan which will contain no hypocrisy, and the camp of hypocrisy which will contain no Imaan. “When that happens,” the Prophet ﷺ said, “expect the Dajjāl that day or the next.

- There will be three hard years before the Dajjal (appears). During them, people will be stricken by a great famine. In the first year, Allah will command the sky to withhold a third of its rain, and the earth to withhold a third a third of its produce. In the second year, Allah will command the sky to withhold two thirds of its rain, and the earth to withhold two thirds of its produce. In the third year, Allah will command the sky to withhold all of its rain, and it will not rain a single drop of rain. He will command the earth to withhold all of its produce, and no plant will grow. All hoofed animals will perish, except that which Allah wills. During these times, takbīr, taḥmīd and tasbīḥ will suffice the believers.

- The Lake of Tiberius (Sea of Galilee) will dry up

- Thirty false dajjāls will already have made a claim to Prophethood. The Prophet ﷺ said, “The Hour will not come until thirty dajjāls have appeared, all of them claiming to be a Prophet of Allāh,”

- He will be a young man with a ruddy complexion, short, with thick curly hair, a wide forehead, and broad upper chest

- He is blind or defective in the right eye. This eye will look like a protruding grape

- His left eye will be covered with a thick piece of flesh/covering

- If this above matter is confusing know your Allah ﷻ is not one eyed and Allah ﷻ does not have defects

- Written between his eyes will be “Kaf fa ra (K-F-R)”, in separate (Arabic) letters, or “kafir”, with the letters joined. This will be readable by every Muslim, literate or illiterate

- 70 000 Jews of Isfahan will follow him -

The hadeeth (يَتْبَعُ الدَّجَّالَ مِنْ يَهُودِ أَصْبَهَانَ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا عَلَيْهِمُ الطَّيَالِسَةُ ) does not say 'from' Isfahan, but rather 'of' Isfahan which refers to all Jews of Persian descent. These 'Persian jews' according to wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_Jews) number only approximately 10 000 in Iran while they number 200 000 in Occupied Palestine and 60 000 to 80 000 in the United States. This therefore does not mean he will arise from Isfahan as other ahadeeth say that Dajjal will appear from a place between Shaam and Iraq. Nevertheless he will first be followed by the Jews in large number as he is their awaited 'Messiah'

This hadeeth also mentions that these Isfahani/Persian Jews will be wearing "الطَّيَالِسَةُ" which is translated as a striped Persian shawl and may be something like this:

- He will first claim to be a Prophet, most likely claiming to be Isa(AS). and then later claim to be Allāh

- Those who obey him will be prosperous

- Those who oppose him will suffer poverty and difficulty

- He will bring with him something which will resemble Paradise and Hell; but what he calls Paradise will in fact be Hell, and what he calls Hell will in fact be Paradise

- A pious and learned person can be deceived and lose his Imaan by confronting Dajjal, therefore you should not seek to confront him, but if you are face with him then recite the opening verses of Surah Kahf upon him.

- He will appear to bring the deceased back to life and thereby fool people to believe he is Allah

- People will definitely flee from Dajjal into the mountains - to be safe from his fitnah

The preparation for the coming of Dajjal is in the regular recitation of Surah Kahf and also the effort of preparing to isolate oneself and ones family in the mountains to be safe from his fitnah. Before this occurs one should endeavour to also focus on building their Imaan and A'maal as one hadeeth mentions:

ثَلاَثٌ إِذَا خَرَجْنَ لاَ يَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا وَالدَّجَّالُ وَدَابَّةُ الأَرْضِ

When three things appear Imaan will not benefit one who has not previously brought Imaan, or has derived no good from his Imaan: the rising of the sun in its place of setting, the Dajjal, and the beast of the earth

In summary this is the possible sequence of events that may occur up to Qiyamah, note that some can overlap while others cannot. I have therefore marked those that appear in the quoted hadeeth of Sunan Abu Dawud in bold:

• Appearance of all the minor signs (completed)

• Tremendous fitan and turmoil in the world (completed and getting worse)

• A sufyani from the kalb tribe will kill and oppress the people of Syria (has already occurred, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalbiyya)

• Drying up of the river euphrates (already occurring)

• The battle where a Muslim army will join the Romans and defeat an enemy beyond their borders (possibly the current Russia-Ukraine conflict)

• the dispute between these same two armies after their victory

• a massive earthquake (possibly the turkey earthquakes which many report were actually 9 or above o

• the death of a muslim ruler and ensuing confusion (maybe King Salman?)

• the appearance and pledge of allegiance to Mahdi

• Hijaz becoming green and lush (already occurring)

• an army that goes from Syria to attack Mahdi

• this army being swallowed enroute at Baidaa (which is an open plain that may be between Madina and Makkah)

• the abdaals of shaam and others going to join Mahdi's army, including the 'black flags' from Khurasan

• the leadership of Mahdi and ensuing battles, (which may also be liberation of Quds)

• 3 years of increasing famine and hardship (this may have already started with the crop and livestock reduction in the last year 2022 reaching up to 50% and worsening in 2023)

• drying up of Lake Tiberias

• Dajjals appearance and claiming to be Isa (AS)

• Dajjal claiming to be Allah

• Conquering of Constantinople

• The malhama in which 99/100 die

• The appearance of Isa (AS)

• The killing of Dajjal

• The appearance of yajooj and majooj

• Death of yajooj and majooj

• Abundance and prosperity during the 7 year period of Isa (AS) during which time he will also marry

• Death of Isa (AS) at the age of 40

• Deterioration of deen

• Appearance of the beast

• Quran is lifted from the pages

• Wind blows from the direction of Yemen that takes all those who have Imaan

• Madeenah becomes deserted

• Nobody to take the name of Allah ﷻ

• Construction of the third temple completed of the idol worshippers in Baitul Maqdis

• Sun rising from the west

• Qiyamah

Of course, Allah ﷻ alone knows the reality of these events. This has been put forward based on my limited understanding of the ahadeeth regarding these events and I am open to correction ان شاء الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ .

So the question remains, where are we now in this timeline of events to come and what should we be doing?

The Ulamaa agree that all the minor signs of Qiyamah have appeared and we are already living in a time of great fitnah. Such fitnah that is a danger to our Imaan and the Imaan of our children. This is the fitnah that precedes dajjal.

At this time we should already have secured a place of safety from the fitan as the hadeeth says "whoever finds a place of safety (from the fitnah) should seek refuge in it".

This place should be a place of both spiritual, and physical, safety from the fitan and the turmoil as they go hand in hand and support each other.

Spiritual safety is in association with the muttaqee Ulamaa, our akaabireen and senior scholars who are vocal against the fitnah, and in the increased dhikr and ibaada of Allah ﷻ and also in the avoidance of going out from the home as per the hadeeth of Nabi ﷺ to stick to your home (in the times of fitnah). Recitation of Surah Kahf on Fridays, the first or last ten verses daily and the memorisation of these is the means of safety prescribed by Nabi ﷺ. This duaa should also be read regularly:

اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِـنْ عَذابِ القَـبْر، وَمِـنْ عَذابِ جَهَـنَّم، وَمِـنْ فِتْـنَةِ المَحْـيا وَالمَمـات، وَمِـنْ شَـرِّ فِتْـنَةِ المَسيحِ الدَّجّال

Allāhumma ‘innī ‘a`ūdhu bika min `adhābi ‘l-qabri,

wa min `adhābi jahannam,

wa min fitnati ‘l-maḥyā wa ‘l-mamāti,

wa min sharri fitnati ‘l-masīḥid-dajjāl.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of Hell-fire, and from the trials of life and death, and

from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah Dajjal.

Physical safety is found in a place with its own water supply and fertile land for grazing of animals and growing of food, so that one can live self sufficient, by growing ones own crops and raising livestock, and such a place where one can be secure and safe away from the masses and where one is able to defend their life, family and property from those who would want to take it. The best type of land for this is the mountains which are difficult to reach and far from the large populations. Nabi ﷺ indicated towards this when he clearly said:

يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَكُونَ خَيْرَ مَالِ الْمُسْلِمِ غَنَمٌ يَتْبَعُ بِهَا شَعَفَ الْجِبَالِ وَمَوَاقِعَ الْقَطْرِ، يَفِرُّ بِدِينِهِ مِنَ الْفِتَن

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "A time will soon come when the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will take on the top of mountains and the places of rainfall so as to flee with his religion from the tribulations (fitan) . (Bukhari)

And in another hadeeth of Nabi ﷺ:

‏ لَيَفِرَّنَّ النَّاسُ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ فِي الْجِبَالِ

The people will definitely flee from the Dajjal seeking shelter in the mountains. (Muslim)

May Allah ﷻ grant us taufeeq to build our Imaan and strive to perform good deeds before the time comes when we are not able to, and to find and establish a place of safety, free from the fitnah of dajjal. Aameen.
